For the GIPOWASH 15 soil washing plant in Næstved, Denmark, a complete water treatment and sludge dewatering system, including sludge buffer silos and a chamber filter press, was supplied. The installation is designed to support the wet processing of contaminated soil, sand and gravel.

The water treatment system includes a 6.0 m diameter clarifier, an agitator for the sludge holding tank, a sludge transfer and recirculation pump, two 200 m³ sludge buffer silos and a feed pump with sealing water unit. At the heart of the sludge dewatering process is the KFP-U chamber filter press with a plate size of 2 x 2 metres. The system is complemented by a fresh water buffer tank with high-pressure pump and level probe, as well as a containerized flocculant preparation and dosing station equipped with a storage hopper, screw conveyor, dosing unit, sedimentation measurement system, control cabinet and automation system.

The flocculant preparation system, dosing station, sedimentation measurement and control cabinet were supplied for integration into a 20-foot container. The clarifier, sludge buffer silos and chamber filter press were delivered directly to Denmark for on-site installation.

The scope of supply also included engineering, transportation, on-site assembly of the chamber filter press delivered in sections and cold commissioning of the plant. Coordinated planning and close collaboration between all parties ensured efficient project execution and a smooth start-up.
