For the GIPOWASH 15 soil washing plant in Denmark, key components for water treatment and sludge dewatering were supplied. At the heart of the installation is the fully automated KFP-U chamber filter press with a plate size of 2 x 2 metres, designed for continuous operation without the need for dedicated operating personnel. Automatic opening of the filter plate pack, a cake discharge shaking system and an automatic filter cloth washing system ensure a continuous dewatering process.

The water treatment system includes the separation of solids and the dewatering of the resulting sludge into stackable filter cakes. The installation is complemented by a feed pump, a fresh water buffer tank with high-pressure pump, as well as a flocculant preparation and dosing unit. The dosing quantity is controlled based on sedimentation measurement to prevent over- and underdosing.

The scope of supply included the complete water treatment and sludge dewatering system, including engineering, transportation, on-site assembly of the chamber filter press delivered in sections, and cold commissioning of the plant.
