The height-limited installation situation on the dredger KORK made the installation of an otherwise usual linear dewatering screening machine impossible. For a feed rate of around 250 t/h of gravel and sand from the excavator lake, the required screening machine size would simply have been too large. For this reason, the idea was born and implemented to master the task with an elliptical screening machine with a lower overall height. The otherwise horizontal elliptical screening machine, installed with 0°, was installed 5° rising towards the material discharge. In this way, the unmistakable dewatering bed is created in the same way as with conventional linear screening machines. With the good idea and custom work, the customer's wish could be fulfilled.
